Duties:The duties of Front Office Manager involve controlling the availability of rooms and the day-to-day functions of the Front Office, such as handling guest arrival or departure and information requests. He/she assists them with the handling of their baggage and is in charge of the check-in and check-out of whole groups and tours.The primary commitment of the front-office manager is customer service because her efforts directly affect hotel guests and whether they return to the establishment. They oversee phone reservations and room assignments, greets and registers guests and fulfils requests for special services, such as meetings or transportation. They deal with any customer problems, and may offer discounts, adjustments to bills or complimentary rooms to compensate for inconvenience.They also meet with other department managers, such as marketing and revenue, to find ways of improving the guest experience.
